However, this is the only second chance a forum member gets. Relapsing into breaking the rules and bad behaviour will earn the member a permanent ban, with no more appeals available. Very serious banning offences (e.g. supporting racism, abuse, genocide, violence, real-world harm on others, etc.) will never receive a repeal by the admin, only the more minor offences (e.g. being rude, insulting) will.
