Neroon met the banhammer after suggesting that a nuclear attack on 9/11 would have led to a nuclear response on the Islamic world and that this would have been comparable morally to a Cold War nuclear exchange. Neroon was subsequently banned, although this was controversial. However, Ian felt that, based on Neroon's past posts he genuinely “meant it.” Neroon's wife uses the handle Mrs.Neroon on the website and is still an active poster.
Sweden has a certain role in some of AH.com's running jokes. Leo Caesius observed that he often got into debates with the “Konservative Kalmarite Krew”, a group that included Neroon.
