With a POD some time during the American Revolution, how can you make Canada French?

I could see the French people revolting against the British control and aligning with the 13 colonies during the ARW.

Due to religious and linguistic reasons the People of Canada do not join the US and stay independent. During the French Revolution thousands of French flee France and settle in Canada. From 1785-1800 thousands of French farmers and other Catholics flee ongoing war in Europe and choose Quebec/Canada over the US. The Canadians colonize all of present day Ontario

Hard for all of Canada to become French with a starting point of the ARW.

Easier for Quebec to revert to France with the US taking points west and the UK keeping NB, NS, PEI and Newfoundland in a TL where the US wins more solidly.

The US did not want France as a neighbor but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Sorry this is next to impossible. France not want the US in the Grand Banks why would they allow them to get Newfoundland. The uS is an upstart snotty little country whose only value was to bring the hated British down a notch.

what you envision Is a Britain that would never of list the7 year war and that means part of the 13 colonies were conquered by France.

What if the ARW fails? The Quebec Act had already been signed and it butterflies away the Loyalists AND the splitting off of Upper Canada from Lower Canada in 1791...meaning French language, Catholicism and Civil Law extend to the Western shores of Lake Superior.

Without the loss of the American colonies Selkirk can focus his efforts somewhere other than the Red River Valley, and so the Métis and Canadiens come to dominate the OTL Canadian West...
