WI: Tupac Amaru II was successful

Tupac Amaru II was a Peruvian Native who led a large Rebellion against the Spanish Empire, in order to reestablish the old Inca Empire. The rebellion was sparked by the Bourbon Reforms, which was economically disastrous for Colonial Peru, but also a revival of the Inca cultural identity, led by Tupac Amaru II. It was also mostly Aymara, Quechua and mestizo rebels.

However, the rebellion failed. Tupac Amaru II made some tactical mistake against the wishes of his wife, Micaela Bastidas. Tupac Amaru II would be captured and brutally executed, though the rebellion continued for at least another year under other rebel leaders, until it was finally crushed. However, Tupac Amaru II remains a legendary figure in Peru to this day.

So what if Tupac Amaru II made the correct decisions and was luckier. What if the Rebellion of Tupac Amaru II was successful, and a new Inca Empire was reestablished.

By "correct decisions" I assume you mean taking Cusco when the chance was available, right? Its fall would have an enormous symbolic effect in all the Andes, and might inspire copycats to rise up elsewhere. For one, La Paz will almost certainly be taken as well.

The size of this "new Inca Empire" will depend on how successful the rebels are after their initial victories. Its smallest possible extent is probably modern Peru + Bolivia (along with northern Chile since they didn't lose that region until the late 19th century) and maybe Ecuador as well. If they're really, really, perhaps implausibly lucky they might take a chunk of Argentina (Tucumán, Salta and so on) and Chile itself too.

Its administration will probably be dominated by a mix of native elites and criollos, which will be a very unusual thing in a continent whose higher politics were almost totally monopolized by people of European descent, or Europeans themselves. The main languages will likely be Quechua, Aymara and Spanish.

Hmm, this is pretty interesting as Tupac Amaru's rebellion had many deep reverberation all through the Spanish Colonies, in Ecuador it did manifest itself as native protests but they never went over into a rebellion due to a failed rebellion being violently suppressed in 1777, if that rebellion doesn´t happen or is delayed it could join up with Tupac Amaru. New Granada there was a rebellion, The Commoners War, that started as the people were more heavily taxed due to the war effort in North America, most natives were interested in joining up with Amaru and some even said in letters that the new king was Tupac Amaru, it never got further as while the revolt was happening Amaru was losing a lot of ground, so that rebellion could also join with this new Inca empire, possibly also dragging Venezuela in as in otl it the commoners could have expanded there if they had actually taken over Bogota as was planned before they were offered terms.

Would probably be a place where Latin American revolutionaries can freely link up. Be a crushing blow to Spanish rule in South America just by existing.
