WI CP Italy Neutral Ottoman Empire in WWI

POD SMS Goeben and Breslau are not sent to the Mediterranean, Britain agrees compensation on Ottoman dreadnoughts.

So what are the consequences of the Germans having an extra battlecruiser in the North Sea? But more importantly having the Ottomans maintain neutrality probably means Bulgaria stays out of the war which means Serbia lasts longer. Italy as a CP means the Med is a lot hotter with the Austro-Hungarian and Italian Fleets clashing with the French Navy which probably means the RN would have to reinforce the French.

Any thoughts.

IIRC, the british did offer compensations for th two ships, so maybe your POD should be if Chuchill didn't impound the two dreadnoughts. Note, though, that the impounding was decided in order to secure an advantage against the CPs navies. If you add Italy to the CPs since the beginning of the war, Churchill will be even more justified to impound any ship.

Said this, Italy in CP from 1914 means a lot harder war for France, since the alpine border will have to be defended, leaving less troops to deal with the germans. The pressure could be enough to destroy France and kick her out of the war. So maybe a very shorter WW1?

Ok well I was thinking later Italian entry into the war roughly same as OTL. But lets assume Churchill doesn't impound the dreadnoughts is this enough to keep the Ottomans out of the war?

Well, with an Ottoman empire absolutely neutral, the entente has a lot of spare troops to be used agaist Italy in Sicily and to reinforce France.
The central powers, thanks to Italy, can exert more pressure on France, but this is partially compensanted by the possibility to expand the conflict to southern Italy through landings. Not that such campaing would be easy for the entente. The allies in WW2 had a lot of problems there with a far better technology and more resources...
Austria-Hungary has also a lot of troops free and it could be interesting see the evolution of the eastern front.
