Hi again everyone! This is the sequel to my last map, On a knife edge, depicting the world after The Great War.

The year is 1906. Five years ago war broke out following a series of complicated diplomatic events. The chain of events began when, in 1901, the British government refused The North American Autonomy Act, which would have granted full fiscal and only semi restricted military powers to the government of British North America. Angry at their failure to acquire autonomy, North American terrorists began an assassination campaign in the Metropole.

When it was discovered that the royal family, who were hugely popular and held far more powers in British North America, had played a role in the terror campaign, the King was seized, placed behind bars and forced to abdicate. He was quickly broken out by loyalists from the colonies, and spirited to North America, from which he declared the independence of "The Empire of North America" from Britain, and began a war of conquest against Britain's other American colonies.

The British quickly reciprocated with their own declaration of war against their colony, and began to mobilise troops. This series of events may have just been a localised British civil war and not a global conflict, were it not for the French. Seeing a chance to one up Britain, the French supported the American secession from the Empire. This kicked the old alliances into action, and began a war of epic proportion.

France, her puppets, the Ottoman Empire and Arabia faced down against the entirety of the coalition, dragging the bloody conflict out for four years before, in 1905, the Coalition broke he "Rhenish Line", and blitzed through France. The next year saw more and more French territory fall, and the Ottoman Empire capitulate under the weight of a joint Anglo-Austro-Russo-Italian invasion. The Coalition were joined in the East by the Asian Powers, who successfully liberated Japan from French control, but failed to prevent Russia from taking (almost) all of Korea for their own sphere of influence.

Both powers were finished by April 1906, and Arabia surrendered in order to avoid damage. It took another five months for the North American campaign to see significant progress but, with the defeat of the FSA by the USA, the US entered the campaign in BNA. The Royalists were defeated swiftly, and in September 1906 surrendered the King to coalition forces.

The October 1906 Paris Peace Accords (which would become highly controversial for their intense punishments of all fallen participants) drew up the following map;
This is very interesting WWI analog though i am kind of confused with what exactly happened in north America. It would be interesting to see the UAR to come out of isolationism. Will there be a WWII analog in the future? And is there any communism/socialism in this world?

The former BNA has been partitioned by the British into various dominions and directly controlled territories.

There will be both a WWII (in the 20s) and a WWIII (in the 40s), one of which the UAR will come out of isolationism for.

Communism/socialism in this world (at least in my current World War Two map) has sort of been fused with fascism to form a sort of militarist technocratic movement forming in France.

Ok what about Federated states?
That sounds like its going to be good. Keep it up. Will you have a key/legend for this map too?

If you want to send me money to buy new laptop then I will buy it. My current laptop is already four years old
my current desktop is nearing 6 and has the worst graphics even by intel standards (GMA 45M, for those curious), and it has no problem.

so unless you have less than 8 MB of VRAM....

No, don't quote images. Remove the image link and just have the quote link. Saves the page being cluttered with repeat images especially giant ones.

Or just delete the
code and left the link. Honestly it's not that difficult.

I only have 2 MB of RAM and I can view a Q-BAM just fine. (I still do agree that images shouldn't be quoted, though.)

Same here with intel atom but for some reason if there are more than two images with gigantic size the browser (chrome) will crash

Most likely when Donal Trump tries to run for president. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

This is the place the nation gamer from shared world "elope" to, currently there is a Balkanized US game because of Donald Trump presidency...really an American Nightmare

Y'all do realize that integrated graphics chipsets on your motherboard have no dedicated VRAM but instead simply using your standard RAM to supplement it, right?

yup.
On the subject of things made in MSPaint... :D

Is your computer from 1989? pretty sure you mean 2GB (2048 MB). :p

And I'm not saying Images shouldn't be quoted, just that large Images won't cause your computer to crash.

The problem is probably that Chrome eats RAM for breakfast. Try another browser.

Chrome is actually eat less ram than firefox in this computer

I haven't made a map in a little while, and was mildly inspired by this thread to make one. So here's some more of my simplistic shenanigans: A Wanked-Balkanized China. ;)

Communist-Nationalist Civil War is plaguing Han China.

Brazil and Monarchy!China both have similar colors in UCS/RCS. That's Brazil in South America, Africa, and Oceana though.

Your borders based on lines of longitude should follow the curvature of the planet. Like the ones in the US, Canada, and Greenland. Straight up and down borders make zero sense except directly next to the central meridian. Your diagonal borders should similarly skew according to the same curvature. It's difficult to tell to what degree, especially in Africa, but most of those are definitely too straight. Australia's especially makes no sense.

They're not intended to be straight to the curvature of the Earth. If they were, I'd have made them more akin to the ones in alt-Canada. They're straight to a square map, which is what the Lusitanians were interested in when they divided up their conquests: Something that looks good on a standard map.
