On February 6, 1999, MTV aired a winter-themed program block called MTV Snowed In. The block consisted of various shows taped during a weekend in January 1999 at Snow Summit Ski Resort in Big Bear Lake, CA, where there wasn’t any real snow. Each show featured celebrities, musical acts, snow sports competitions, and various competitions involving average people.

However the Schedule Consists of the Following

12PM-12:30PM: MTV Undercover Snowed In (MTV brings together a group of strangers in a ski cabin for the weekend and follow them as they get wild on the slopes, in the hot tub, inside the clubs and at their cabin.)
12:30-1:30 PM: Say What? Karaoke Snowed In #1 (Hosted by Shawn Wayans of the Wayans Bros.)
1:30-2 PM: Meltdown to 98 Degrees (More Details Later)
2-2:30 PM: Cruel Intentions: Snowed In (Fifteen fans get to spend some quality time on the slopes with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair, stars of Sony Pictures new movie, "Cruel Intentions." That's The Schedule, However MTV Magazine had a Special Snowed In Issue which featured a Preview of Meltdown to 98 Degrees and featured get this...All 98 Girls who are fans of 98 Degrees however a person who had the MTV Magazine Snowed In Issue who loves NASCAR Racing is a Student of South San Francisco High School, Joshua Palmer who is a Sophomore at the school he has Owned the Strat-O-Matic Baseball Board Game, he has owned the APBA Football & Hockey Board Games, he has owned the Statis Pro Basketball Board Game and he has owned the Real Action Stock Car Board Game with 1/64 Scale Race Cars and has a Large Collection of NASCAR Diecast Cars since 1990 as well as a Lot Custom Made 1/64 Scale Race Cars however while prepping in to watch Saturday's Snowed In, Joshua decided to lure all 98 Girls who are fans of 98 Degrees and will be attempting to run several races in the United Stock Car Racing Alliance (USCRA to be exact) on February 5, 1999 (That was the Night prior to the Player Assignments for a League that uses Strat-O-Matic Baseball while we will watch the 1999 Miss USA Pageant on FOX)

However the Season Opener at South San Francisco will be expecting go off on February 14, 1999 for the USCRA however Jordan along with his Fellow Students and Close Friends are Others are going to watch MTV's Meltdown to 98 Degrees


However Joshua followed the Episode to Determine which 10 will qualify to get Guaranteed Starting Spots on February 14, 1999 as 98 Girls will be wearing Snow Shoes as they climb to the top of the mountain however the first 50 girls to reach the top will be racing in an Inflatable Chair and the First 10 will advanced to the Next Round and Not Only That Jordan will award Guaranteed Starting Spots for a Special Duel in the Season Opener if this Occurs but in the end who crossed the finish line in which Michelle wearing #44 finished 1st and a Spot in the Final 10 however they will answer questions about the band as Paige in the #60, Christine in the #41, Laura in the #50, Jessica in the #40, Kristi in the #24, Michelle in the #44, Tiana in the #19, Lisa in the #9, Diane in the #46 and Erin in the #8

But in the end only 10 became 5 as Paige, Laura, Kristi, Tiana and Erin has moved on as they walked runway by showing off their fashion styles and distinctive personalities but in the end who won?

It Is Tiana in which she gets to have a Personal Serenade with 98 Degrees in which the group sang "The Hardest Thing" close it all out

Afterwards, While MTV is started to a a Cruel Intentions: Snowed In Special (which is shown below)

Meanwhile TCI Channel 3 in South San Francisco aired a Special Edition of The Source in 30 as they talked about what happened in the Meltdown to 98 Degrees and previewed in the 1999 United Stock Car Racing Alliance Premier Championship Series which will take place starting in South San Francisco on February 14th however several stars from the NASCAR Coca-Cola Cup Series are going to contest the 1999 USCRA Premier Championship Series including Defending 1998 NASCAR Coca-Cola Cup Series Champion Dale Jarrett (driving the #18 Interstate Batteries Pontiac), Bobby Labonte (driving the #51 Best Western Chevrolet), Ted Musgrave, Rob Moroso, Sterling Marlin, Rusty Wallace, Bill Elliott, Mark Martin, Clifford Allison, Ernie Irvan, Ken Schrader, John Andretti, Michael Waltrip, Jeff Burton, Chad Little, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, Davey Allison, Mike Skinner, Loy Allen, Shawna Robinson, Terry Labonte, Ricky Rudd, Casey Elliott and Jimmy Spencer along with South San Francisco High Students consisting of Joshua Palmer, Darylein Contreras, Chantay Eddings, Naomi Delrosario, Britney Scanlon, Lindsey Scanlon, Michael Rhodes, Becca Lemus, Matthew Rosenfield, Cheryl Tello, Claudia Hernandez, Byron Castilla, Diana Chavez, Miranda Ioapo, Teresa Poon, Victoria Mora and Erica Ruiz as well as Several Bay Area HS Students who had signed up to race in the circuit like Chelsea Dawson (later Chelsea Kolte) from Livermore, CA who is a graduate of Livermore High School in 1998 and a Freshman from Encinal High School named Allen (Jake) Aganus who came here from Alameda, CA however all 98 Girls who had competed in MTV's Meltdown to 98 Degrees also contested including Diamond Bar's Paige Taylor in the #60 and Big Bear's Tiana Holliday in the #19 however all 98 Girls will be attempting to run one-offs in addition to running the Season Opener at South San Francisco including an event that will take place while we celebrate Fiesta Filipina 1999 coming in June as well as an event taking place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Brickyard 400 as well as a 4th of July Race in Walnut Creek, CA.
