How would Seleucus Nicator fare during the Gaulish invasion of Greece?

In 281 BC Seleucus was assassinated by Ptolemy Keraunos during his attempt to consolidate control over Thrace and Macedonia. In the aftermath the Seleucids were forced to abandon their attempts to expand into Europe and Ptolemy Keraunos became king of Macedon. Two years later, during the chaos caused, the Gaulish peoples of the Balkans launch a massive invasion into Macedonia and Central Greece.

Say that Seleucus survives his assassination and his attempts to consolidate Macedonia and Thrace, as well as any ambitions on Greece, cause enough disruptions that the Gauls still think it's worth having a go at invading what is Seleucus likely to do and how would he fare?

Doubtful that the Gauls would invade Greece to begin with. Seleucus would apply a mixture of carrot and stick diplomacy to the Gauls. Offers of land grants in the East in exchange for years of military service would work for some tribes. He'd keep enough to frighten the Macedonians into remaining loyal, at least for a time. Pit the remainder against each other. Seleucus is a fairly old man so even if he evades or survives his assassination attempt, he's not living much longer.
