Guerilla warfare on Hawaii pre-WWII

Is there any way that, between US annexation of Hawaii in 1896 & the bombing of Pearl Harbour, that hostilities between the native Hawaiians, Asian-Americans & HAOLES could've exploded into open guerilla warfare ? What would've been the result of such open hostilities between different ethnic groups in the Hawaiian islands ?

Not guerilla warfare, but its possible that the Massie Trial in 1932 could have sparked some sort of race war. Its mentioned that it was considered by the Navy probably necessary to declare martial law, at least Oahu. Its possible that things could have gotten out of hand and that the Territorial Government may have been replaced by a military governor.

Things may be made worse during the war and its possible that statehood may not be achieved by the 1950s.
