DBWI: Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany Don't Go to War Over Austria

This war was always a fascinating part of history for me, but naturally I have to ask - what would have happened if this war simply did not go ahead? What would be the future look like for Austria, Italy, and Germany? What about the ideologies involved? And what about the broader effects on Europe as a whole?

france and britain probably would have waited until hitler went after Czechoslavikia rather than a hasty mobilization in the early stages of the war. weather that means they do better with more time as opposed to getting stuck in alsace lorraine for almost a year and a half, or worse because germany would have more built up and better time to refine things, I don't know. I also think Italy was okay with Germany having eastern Europe and only had concerns when he realized how much the Mediterranean was on the chopping block
