A CONNECITCUT YANKEE IN KING ARTHUR'S COURT

Would anybody consider this Mark Twain novel an example of AH, with the lost Yankee time traveller enabling the growth of industrial age technology such as steam power, trains, telegraph, etc in medieval England ?

I would.IF the inventions cause society to change. BTW L.Sprague wrote a novel called LEST DARKNESS FALL.It may be still in print. A modern American (c.1930s) is thrust into the past. :)

How about H Beam Piper's "LORD KALVAN OF OTHERWHEN"

Anybody read it? There were also at least two sequels written after Piper's death, a full novel and a short story. The Novel was called "GREAT KING'S WAR"! "LORD KALVAN OF OTHERWHEN" was a part of a group of stories called "PARATIME"!
