I appreciate the fusion of sort of wistful Verne-ian ASBishness with the grim implications of atomic weapons. I'd expect some rather mindbending theories to arise if relativity is also a thing in this universe alone the lines of Abdelkader's geocosmos - 'are we the outside or the inside?' ---...

Thanks! De Gaulle does not escape France, and combined with a more ambitious Operation Catapult (masterminded by the Tightrope Walker known as the Naval Proponent) means no Free French. Pétain thus has a stronger hand and is able to secure more generous terms of occupation (initial situation as...

Thanks - yes, that was my idea , with the military occupation zones created for administrative reasons but given names evocative (to Germans) of broad regions, similar to the OTL Eastern Front. I hadn't really fleshed out Italy's views other than their having been given a bloody nose in the...

Nice work (this and the original map)! Quite a few there I don't recognise - interesting to see how in some cases (e.g. US and Britain) the official line was different/more moderate than its leaders'. I finally got around to finishing this map for the Tightrope Walker setting - specifically...
  6. The NextGen OTL Worlda Series

Hiya - just dropping in to clarify that while I did a bunch of sequences (focusing on the 20th century and 19th century colonial border evolution) and territorial evolution patches, most of the basemap improvements should be credited to Semmi, Iori, Beedok, Alex Richards and others.

Thanks - I see what you did there...

Along the same lines as On The Riverbank, it's another 'small part of England' map. This time it's the Isle of Wight - not a post-apocalyptic map but certainly a dystopian one. Western Europe has fallen into the hands of an unnamed, Big Brother-esque revolutionary figure who is advancing a...

This looks fantastic! Great work on the atlas-like feel to this. I have been rather coy with the plot details as I have always had ambitions of turning it into something bigger, whether a book, webcomic, or show pitch. There are some character and weapon designs on my DeviantArt profile, many...

I was about to respond to say that I did the Moon and Mars maps but couldn't remember doing the Bering Strait or Antarctic cut-outs! Makes sense when looking back at the Dymaxion basemap. Looks great and good idea! --- Finally got around to finishing this - the current state of play for my...

Thanks - no, nothing special - just quickly traced freehand over the top in Photoshop, filled in the oceans then put it over a green layer.

Really nice work! I hope you don't mind - just whipped up a worlda-style version for those wanting to use it for alt-geography scenarios:

Thanks! I think I've simply missed a decimal point, as I noted that the highlands are around 70k square miles. Add in the lowland areas I've depicted as under direct control and you're probably looking at most of an Italy.

Upvoteanthology, seeing your post inspired me to finish up the map I've been messing about with every so often so I could post and at the same time say how much I've enjoyed seeing your creations here and on DA. This is an absolutely fantastic closing production and a great legacy. I hope we...

Oh wow, this looks amazing. Will be really interesting to see what you do with the space-fillier bits of South America and Africa, which I was never totally happy with. Worth noting that Revolutionary World was itself inspired by Venice's 'Find The Wank' game.

Eep :) Can I remove the last 9 words of that sentence?

Butterflies since the POD in 1925 resulted in the etymology of 'Estonia' (from 'Aesti', an ancient tribe from the region) and 'Latvia' ('Latvji' from Estonian 'Lett') becoming applied to the opposite group from OTL. (I feex)

Interesting - I like the colour scheme for what seems like a fairly gloomy, conservative world. Hmm. Uber-Mussolini? The Regno di Zeta is throwing me off. --- Just to get me back into practice, a pretty simple map of Europe in the world of Weimar Forever, which takes as its POD the election...
  20. MotF 146: Atlantis Reborn - Voting Thread

I very much enjoyed Rubberduck3y6's entry - really has a nice encyclopedia feel, and a cool take on a modern Atlantis scenario.
