Portuguese Asia timeline planning thread

Conquer Ceylon and stop dicking around.

Speaking of this, a successful campaign of Danture would have lead to an early Portuguese subjugation of the Kingdom of Kandy, the only native power that was always able to resist European domination (until the British finally got them in the 19th century). The Kandians were instrumental is expelling the Portuguese of the island and enabling the Dutch takeover. So getting rid of them would obviously be a massive plus.

Leaders: Portugal had its share of shitty leaders *cough* Da Gama *cough*
To be fair, anybody, literally anybody who's not that psychotic hellspawn would have been an improvement. When your own ex crusaders companions say you've been over the line in how you treated Muslims, you know you fucked up

If the Bruneians are defeated in Tondo, Luzon especially Northern Luzon stays primarily hindu and it would conserve its ties with Lesser Sunda and Java which the Bruneians suppressed.
