Nice basemap and fonts, but I think it would work better as a PNG than a JPEG (and should still be small enough to post).

Behold, the aftermath of the Great Eurasian war!:D

Lighter colours reflect occupation or domination, but not direct control.

No clue either, but it seemed to be the right thing to do - it was mentioned in the map catalogue in Lyra's Oxford, and I figured you'd get all Indonesiawank over it, so there you go!

Wait, so thats the world from His Dark Materials that Lyra lives in?
Also, very nice!

America is considerably more successful in Canada during the War of 1812. After 1816, the USA extends control into Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick. Quebec later revolts and attempts to become a protectorate of Great Britain.

After the disappearance of Marisa Coulter following the Uprisings, this map was discovered in her room. The X is believed to represent the experimental station of the General Oblation Board (now disbanded by the Magisterium).

Very nice

Since this a map thread, I feel obligated to post another map from the TL

cool

Quebec later revolts and attempts to become a protectorate of Great Britain.

Not bad, Lyly, minus the border corrections mentioned before.

I see great potential in you :)

Taking a break from TL-making, here's a one-shot map.

World War One went differently, with Denmark and The Netherlands sided with Germany in 1915. This led to the forced independence of the Federation of Iceland and Greenland from Denmark. The 19-year old Prince Knud, second son of Christian X of Denmark, became King of Iceland and Greenland. Christian X was forced to resign his position as King, threatened by a popular uprising, and conceded the throne to his young son and crown prince, Christian Frederick, who became King Christian XI of Denmark.
The Netherlands, for their support of Germany, and their attempts to annex Flanders, was forced to cede border territories to Belgium, and the majority of their colonial Empire to Great Britain, both in the East and West Indies. Part of their East Indies isles became part of Australia.
Germany lost their colonies, with their Asian lands going to Japan, and the German Empire in Africa being divided among Britain and France. Germany itself, however, was allowed to merge with Austria, if only to provide a republican counterbalance to the militaristic Prussians.

Japan grew more ambitious, and dispatched legions of troops to China, which was caught in inner turmoil and civil war. Japan annexed Manchuria and parts of Coastal China, and in 1923, claimed the Mandate of Heaven and consolidated the conquered territory into the China Empire, a dominion in an "Asian Commonwealth", based on the infant British Commonwealth system. Much of the rest of China fell apart between Communist and Nationalist armies, vying for power in still-Chinese Beijing and the Chinese rural countryside. Soviet forces set up puppets in Mongolia and East Turkestan, and sent thousands of advisors into China to support the Communists.
Meanwhile, Japanese marched on Beijing, capturing it in 1927, and set up a military administration; however, the Emperor held off on the unification of Beijing with the China Empire.

By 1930, most of the fighting around the world had died down. The small brushfire conflicts had ended, and a few revolutions resulted in relatively peaceful transitions of power: Ireland in 1920 to a Republic, Portugal in 1926 to a Republic, Spain in 1929 to a Federal Republic, and Brazil in 1930 to a Second Empire. In 1931, Britain implemented their Commonwealth System officially by implementing the Treaty of Westminster, forming each Dominion as an independent and equal Commonwealth Realm.

However, in 1931, Brazil began a conflict, invading and occupying much of Uruguay, intent on "taking it back into the fold". Chile and Argentina declared war, resulting in a prolonged Brazilian invasion of Argentina, with the alliance with Peru and Bolivia, who attacked Chile and drove deep into northern Argentina. Paraguay declared neutrality, remembering the last time it got involved in a major war.
The South American War raged on, and even in 1932, saw no signs of letting up.

Abdicate, not resign. And considering that Germany had seized half of Denmark's non-island territory, and that Russia had a Danish Tsarina, I find their aliance unlikely. Sweden would be far more likely.

Southern Italy, sure, but the Lombard north? The Pope is screwed, man.

Same thing. A job's a job.

Well, quite obviously, in this TL, Germany didn't seize Danish territory, and the Russo-Danish princess is abandoned for political reasons.

Me likes, but I would like to see a greater focus on Indian Ocean expansion. Also, if the Abasids held Cyprus, you think they would have enough of a navy to take coastal Anatolia from the Byzantines.

Very nice map thought, the colors remind me of all the official OTL maps of the caliphate.
