"ST:TOS"
"The Cloud Minders"--story by David Gerrold & Oliver Crawford, screenplay by David Gerrold. Enterprise becomes entangled in a local civil war, unwittingly aiding slaveholders. When Kirk realizes, he violates the Prime Directive:rolleyes: (over Spock's vigorous objections;)) to aid the rebels.

"Showdown"--screenplay by Gene Coon (as Lee Cronin), adapting Ben Bova's novel The Dueling Machine. Kirk, Spock, Sulu, Chekov, & two security officers:p become trapped in a vast computer-controlled environment that turns lethal.

"STNG"
"Farpoint Station"--story & screenplay by D. C. Fontana, adapting Hal Clement's novel Iceworld. Enterprise visits a candidate planet for Federation admission and is accused of smuggling a dangerous addictive drug: pepper.

"Justice"--story by John D. F. Black and Worley Thorne, screenplay by John D.F. Enterprise visits an idyllic world, where Wesley Crusher accidentally crushes flowers, & is sentenced to death. Wil Wheaton (Wesley) & Gates McFadden (Beverly) are written out of the show.

"Truth in a Masquerade”--screenplay by D.C. Fontana, adapting Robert Heinlein's Puppet Masters. Picard uncovers a conspiracy of aliens taking over senior Starfleet & Federation officials. (It is the first of a dozen related stories during the first three seasons.)

"Masterpiece Syndrome"--story by James Kahn & Adam Belanoff (adapting William F. Nolan & George Clayton Johnson's novel Logan's Run), screenplay by Steve Gerber. In a two-part episode ending Season 2, Enterprise encounters an ancient Earth colony, socially & genetically engineered to perfection, threated with destruction. Picard must decide if the Prime Directive applies.

"Youth is Wasted on the Young"--story by Ward Botsford and Diana Dru Botsford, screenplay by D.C. Fontana. A two-parter ending Season 5, Picard, Ro, Guinan, & LaForge encounter a peculiar anomaly rendering them all teenagers, while retaining their adult memories. Part One deals with the crew's disbelief & lack of acceptance of the newly-young officers, while in Part 2, other crewmembers begin falling afoul of the anomaly, & the experience, & youth, of the transformed officers becomes essential to survival.

"Decision"--story by Ronald D. Moore, screenplay by Gene Coon (as Lee Cronin). Riker must decide whether to reveal his involvement in an illegal secret experiment early in his career. This last episode of Season 6 sees Jonathon Frakes written out, replaced by Elizabeth Dennehy as Commander Shelby.

"Gepetto"--story by Pam Pietroforte, screenplay by René Echevarria. The conclusion of "STNG" wraps up the alien infiltrator story with the return of Captain Will Riker & the new starship Shinano. It sets the stage for the first "STNG" motion picture.
