What if Nicolae Ceaucescu is assassinated in 1968 or 1969 by Soviet of Eastern bloc agents in revenge for speaking out too much about the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia? I think Ian Gheorghe Maurer might be the man that the Soviets pick for their puppet in Romania in that situation.
