Transuranic Elements found in nature

please then explain how Carbon-14 dating works...?

normal stable carbon has 6 protons 6 neutrons, C14 has 8 neutrons, which is a magic number of neutrons, yet C14 is unstable and decays....

I don't know but the ratio of neutrons to protons has to be close to 1 (for elements 1-20)

This is Actually The Reason WHY The Exact Ratio Between The Strong Nuclear and The Electromagnetic Force is So Important ...

In Small Atoms The Strong Force Dominates Almost Completely, But as their Nuclei Get Larger an Atom's Protons Begin to Repel Each Other More Strongly with The Electromagnetic Force ...

Thus The Neutrons Provide a Shielding Effect that Would Only Get Larger if The Strong Force's Relative Influence were Increased!
