"Then, Sir, we will give them full auto!" - An earlier Guns of the South?

I'm curious. What would the story be like if the AWB men had a bit more knowledge of history or a bit better planning and attempted to deliver the AK-47s to Stonewall Jackson? Jackson was far more agressive than Lee, and would have been in an excellent position to invade the North. His Chaplain, Robert Louis Dabney was a conservative Presbyterian who had strong negative views of the capability of Blacks in authority, which he would certainly share with the Afrikaners of the AWB. Finally, if the AWB men wanted to change history, they could attempt to do it on a bigger scale. And, if they saved Jackson...

What do you think?

I recall one of the plot points of Guns of the South was that the time machine they had taken was limited to a 150 year jump. So by1864, I think Jackson is already dead, right? The AWB men would either have procured a 150 year time machine earlier or gotten a time machine that doesn't have any plot convenient time limits.
