Royal Family for British Dominions?

That's a clever way to keep the power centralized in the UK royals. But what happens to the progeny of the current dominion royals? Do they get a lesser administration seat? They might resent someone from Britain who doesn't know the colony or the people coming in and taking what historically should be their throne.

Could a "Dance of the Dragons"-type scenario occur?

Hmm. I imagine the dominion sovereigns might have their own Civil List? As for outsiders taking over the throne, I don't know if it would be any worse than not having a throne of your own to begin with because...you're a colony. I kinda figure it would be like some of the elective monarchies in European history. You never knew who or when the next one would be.
