PC: China becoming first communist nation

Is it plausible for China to become communist before Russia or in a timeline where the Bolshevik revolution in Russia fails or never happens, or is this ASB territory? China seems to have the ingredients to go communist post 1911 revolution, with alot of poor and oppressed peasants, political instability and revolutionary ideas spreading.

Communism was a Western ideology, not an Eastern one. Its pretty unlikely it could have made its way all the way to China without a successful example in Europe.

Probably not. Soviet influence helped lot of with rise of communism in China. If Russia not turn as communist then China not either do that. And communism wouldn't had fitted to China anyway altough no that it didn't fit finely to Russia either. Marx intended that being ideology in industrialised country and China would had been low of the list.
