Hitler in a Central Powers victory scenario?

Probably a largely obscure non-com until such time as the inevitable reductions in forces after a war came; guessing that would be at some point in the mid-1920s. He would then have been mustered out honorably with a rank equivalent to a US staff sergeant, and would have tried to find some sort of outlet for his marginal artistic talents. My guess is that he'd probably wind up spending his working days bent over a drawing board in an architectural firm in Munich--and that today he'd be nothing more than a designer's initials on any number of architectural drawings.

No matter if Hitler goes into politics or not, the German people will be short of the huge humiliation felt after WWI and which formed the precondition for the success of the nazi party.

The biggest and most powerful party is likely to be the Socialdemocrats but there might be room for some small and rather inferior parties appealling especially to war veterans etc.

By 20s sometime I guess Germany will have become a full fledged parliamentary system, perhaps a constitutional monarchy - something like Sweden on steroids

I could see Hitler leading one of several small right wing parties, but never seriously challenging the parliamentary system. He might fall when some rival reveals his strange and inproper relations to nieces etc.

He might stay in the army, but I would imagine he could get caught up in the inevitable drawdown after the war (I don't see why people imagine the German army would actually expand after WW1). Either way, opportunities for promotion would be limited for an enlisted man so, if Hitler actually wanted to change Germany's politics, he would probably leave the military.

With Germany victorious and the royalist/nationalist parties satisfied with the outcome, its hard to imagine a far right party receiving much traction at all. Who knows, he might actually become a militant Red with nationalist, rather than internationalist, ideals...a true National Socialist

Becomes a spokesperson in the Army when an officer takes note of his is oration skills and patriotism. Becomes the face of the next generation of German Soldiers, although is kept out the public light due to his Antisemitism becoming politically dangerous and unease over his Austrian Birth.
