Frederick was told to choose a german protestant. What if he suggested Anne instead? Could some grand union have resulted?

There have been threads about Anne and her OTL husband outsurviving the entire Danish royal family line from his brother, but this seems to be a new tack.

Found this on impact while searching for old threads:

France, Spain, Russia. Russia and Denmark had...somewhat amicable relations if memory serves, and Russia wouldn't mind a credible western counter-balance to Sweden.
I don't see France and Spain being much exited about the prospect, though.

Also, there is the matter of religion: Though both Denmark-Norway and England was non-RC, they were different branches of non-RC: Denmark-Norway was solidly Lutheran, and England Anglican. There's going to be some difficult theological conversations there...

Clearly some kind of religious tolerance of non-Catholic faiths would be required. Hardly against the aims of the Glorious Revolution. France and Spain? A Treaty of Utrecht(say), including acknowledging the succession of Frederick and Anne after this world's equivalent of the War of Spanish Succession.
