So I just finished reading the ninth and final installment in the New Rise series. I thought some of it was a little strange (especially SPOILER Barack Obama becoming president of the United States towards the end), but overall, I enjoyed it. Ramirez made the right decision by collapsing the Soviet Union right at the beginning--that random communist superpower was getting annoying.

Its British Empire in book six has inspired the English rebels in the French Civil War. Its characters will always inspire the imagination: fictional ones like Napoleon and Adolf Hitler, and real ones like Brigham Young and J.F. Kennedy who have been fictionalized.
