Charles X restored Bourbon King of France in 1815

It was my understanding that Ferdinand and his wife were not happy allies with the British. I think it would be very possible for Britain not to press their claims in the right moment.

The only real reason that the Neapolitan Bourbons got their throne back is because Murat backed Napoleon during the Hundred days. If Murat doesn't ally with Napoleon there's a good chance that he'll keep the throne.

Hhmm, whilst flashy he seems to of been a pretty decent ruler and reformer both socially and militarily, well he couldn't of been worse than Ferdinand IV (of Sicily as he'd probably become) and his wife. Considering how rich Naples was before the unification, IIRC they contributed the lions share of funds to Italy's treasury, he should be able to do something with the place. His support for the Risorgimento does seem to of been fairly cynical but I've always wondered about a Naples-led unification.
