That's about as convincing as a US aircraft as the F-5 is a Russian one.Mi-24 Hind in U.S. Coast Guard livery.
It's actually from a 1991 Soviet movie called Loaded With Death. Soviet movies that featured the U.S. military would often use Soviet equipment mocked up to look American.

If the USCG did adopt the Mi-24, they would probably take off the chain gun and replace it with an IRST TV camera. That's about as convincing as a US aircraft as the F-5 is a Russian one.

No need, it has one. And the gun would be perfect vs smugglers and drug runners!

(tried to post directly but couldn't, for some reason...)
I am reading this book now, and just got to the part where the Ares patch is described. It is clearly an alternate version, it is a triangle with gold border. Sounds a bit like the STS Program patch. I may need to design this one.Incidentally, Baxter has actually used the Ares patch as a plot point in one of his latest novels, Ultima. There, it turns out that in at least one universe, Ares crashed- and got duplicated to other universes. <end spoiler>

Of the few aircraft I've done, the Viper is my favorite. Too bad Claymore doesn't do aircraft models. The Viper certainly looks the goods, as does the Quetza and Annie!
Looking forward to reading others thoughts.

He said he used to do airplane models back in the day but doesn't find them interesting anymore or something like that.Have you asked him? It might pique his interest...
IT'S FLYING! IT'S FLYING!The first Soviet space shuttle launches. This is the title card for the first chapter of my new timeline, The Snow Flies. Lots more images to follow with future updates!

Could something like the Mobula from Guns of Icarus theoretically exist?

I'm not suggesting a victorian tech level per say, but im talking about some kind of air ship which has the balloon on the bottom of the ship rather than the top?
