One of the best I've seen is Spiders by Electric Sheep Comix. It also has a liberal tone to it, in a weird alternate Afghanistan War where President Gore wages a open-source campaign. Very bizarre, but the whole comic is simply innovative. Check out this sequence. It's not too complicated a concept, but I don't think any webcomic's tried this before. I love the whole approach. Brilliant.
