From his ascension to the throne, which things do you think he should have done differently?
Any changes have to be within the reasonable realms of possibility for the era.

Obviously he has to make some deals with the colonists. I would suggest at least 1 MP for every colony and spreading a few knighthoods around to the most prominent Colonial Families. People don't tend to try and overthrow a government they are part of.
