As someone for London I know very little about the commuting needs of Yorkshire folk! I took it out though because it is small country town in the same county as the huge cities of Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield etc. Thought the voters there would likely prefer to be in a more rural small town...

English County Reform - 2026, When Labour won their massive landslide in the 2024 General Election one of PM Keir Starmer's aims was to reform the administration of the country. This included reform to the House of Lords, changes to elections and Devolution to the English regions. This also...

Very interesting and well done map. I wonder if this would affect the Spanish colonisation of Mexico. There are likely trade routes from Chinese California (or even the places where Zheng He stopped off) to the Aztecs etc and through that the old world diseases could spread earlier. Likely...
  5. Return of the terrible flag thread.

Flag of Belize City, Principle port city of Belize and the worst flag I have ever seen.

Hope that small strip of land and the islands of the Europe is worth starting a nuclear war with Europe/US. Given POD is 2011, an invasion of Spain, Italy and Greece (and UK if you add Gibraltar) would invoke a war with NATO.

Although that is a certain possibility, I think that is much more likely that in this timeline the British can keep a lid on things. With the Jews from a the newly defeated Nazi Europe going mostly directly to the New World there is unlikely to me a huge influx of Jews to Palestine. They...

Kingdom of Miskita The Kingdom of Miskita is an English-speaking country in Central America. It is unique in the Americas for being an independent indigenous kingdom. Miskita was a protectorate of the United Kingdom from 1844 – 1972 but its contact with the British goes back to the 17th...

What have you done to my beautiful city?! Why does Riverside have such little space on the river? lol
  16. Maximum population of the UK?

I think the UK could feasibly be as dense as Taiwan, (half dense plain, half underpopulated mountains 651 per km) this would give a population of the UK as 161,794,332. Ireland is basically one big plain with only a few mountains to the west of the country, sort of like Bangladesh (mainly plain...

I really like maps of areas that don't get much attention, like African infrastructure! What happened in 1997? What have you done to Zambia!!
  19. Discussion: War Happens Between NATO and China. What Happens Next?

For your question: See Iran/Russia. They will maintain what they are doing getting popular support through nationalist rhetoric. Likely small skirmishes/proxy wars but unlikely to attack the West (except maybe Taiwan). America even under the most outrageously stupid President wouldn't try...

Amazing map and interesting premise! Just one minor critique, you would not attempt a amphibious landing in Wales on the Gower Peninsula. There is a beach there called Three Cliffs bay for a reason! Would be easier to go in from a bit further west, around Llanelli or Tenby.
