Wow, exceptionally detailed. Would there ever be a full list of countries based on region? Also, where's Pontus and a divided North Caucasus? Otherwise excellent.

Map of North America directly after the end of the Second American Civil War (2024-2026)
7 New Recognized Independent republics exist in the former United States, along with two Rouge States.
California, Texas, Confederated Montezuma, Alpine Republic (Colorado), Cascadia, and Alaska all have agreements with the United States that their military bases will remain American. The Civilian Gov't in D.C. was resistant to letting the western states leave, but the Military Gov't in the Twin Cities was uninterested in any more wars.

I'm making a series of maps based on WI certain ideologies dominated the world. Of course, I will include the classics: Communism, Democracy, Fascism, Monarchism. But also I will include less explored ideologies, from Theocracy to Green Politics.
This time I'll explore Technocracy.
EVERYTHING HERE, INCLUDING THE MAP, IS A WIP:
- POD: roughly the late 19th century, where Technocratic, Positivist and Scientism ideals became popular in politics; fascism never developed as such. History proceeds mostly as OTL until the Great Depression.
- Current time is 1990. Science is several decades more advanced than ours, with great strides on computing, engineering, aerospace and bioengineering.
- The North American Technate was the first 'pure' Technocratic state. Based on a 'energy economy' and overseen by 'expert comitees' of engineers and scientists from the Technocratic Movement, it used the massive resources of the US to spread across North America, the Caribbean and even held Venezuela, Colombia and the Guyanas for several decades. Intially a weird mix of authoritarianism and positivist optimist (think Atompunk with fancy uniforms) it quickly degraded into a ivory-tower, ossified regime. NAWAPA and the great 'Terraforming' projects of the NAT have destroyed the ecology of North America beyond repair, and their disdain for religion and ethnic minorities has provoked rebellions on all its territory, including the armed wing of the North American Communist Party, the Green Army, the Black Panthers, the Lord's Liberation Army, the Aztlán Revolution and many others. The rest of the world looks nervously as the largest world power is about to collapse.
- The Technocratic Republic of South Africa was one of NAT's best allies, but now is a country stuck on the past. All spheres of life are ruled by racial theory and the superiority of the White Race, with chavunistic, awful 'racial studies' that even Victorian anthropologists would dismiss as extreme. It is a decaying nation, quickly being overtaken by the electronic titan that is the Central African Federation.
- The Oceanic Technate is also one of the Technate's oldest allies. It also has ruined its ecosystem forever with the Outback Irrigation Project. Currently on the verge of bankruptcy.
- The Estado Novo da Gran Lusitania is a federation of Brazil and the Portuguese empire. While rather paternalistic and conservative, it actually believes it's own weird Lusotropican ideology, and has bettered life on its colonies, with many Africans and Asians occupying high posts on the government. The whole show is run by Brazil, of course, but the capital is in Lisboa.
- The Catholic State of Colombia freed itself from the NAT 20 years ago. It is now a extremely Catholic conservative state, that rejects 'materialistic' worldviews and atheism. It's one of the few states on this world to explicitly reject Technocracy or all of its derived ideas.
- Another religious state is the Islamic State of Iran, ruled by a stronger (!) assembly of experts. The People's Republic of Mashrek is extremely secular, with the exception of holy sites. The Vatican is not shown but it's still around.
- The German Confederation has enviromentalism and democratic technocracy enshrined on its constitution. It is a pacifist, tolerant state, where a 100% of energy comes from clean sources and most people live in clean, orderly cities, leaving nature to restore itself. Adolf Hitler, one of the most noted enviromentalists of the 20th century, is often credited for his energetic push towards enviromental preservation and religious tolerance.
- Among nations aligned with the Green Alliance led by Germany are the Nordic Federation, the Ecological Republic of Guyana, the Danubian Confederation, and the ACUP Pact (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay), but this is not an exhaustive list.
- The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the People's Republic of China are basically the same as OTL, but with more ATOMPUNK technology (with mixed enviromental results). China is more explicit on its use of Administration Exams, basically following Confucianism with red flags. AIs are increasingly used in economic planning.
- Technocratic State of Singapore STRONK
- The Empire of Japan, is, of course, increasingly ruled by AIs. It was a NAT ally for a time, but later broke the alliance. Androids and AIs have full rights and there is a revival of Korean, Taiwanese and Ainu culture after years of repression. Japanese cities are large, clean, and full of neon signs.
- Any countries not mentioned here are still a WIP. The world is of course full of wonders: futurist and modernist architecture and glistening glass cities are the norm, flying cars (for the rich) and zeppelins roam the skies, the space population reaches the thousands, and androids and AIs are increasingly intelligent. Positivism and Scientific thought is encouraged in most democracies, in dictatorships it's an obligation.
This whole scenario is a WIP; I'm willing to hear any suggestions, especially on weird ideologies (as long as they are explictly or sort-of technocratic)

A World Upon Tilted Upon An Axis
Backstory and other information behind the map can be found in the 'After 1900' thread under a title of the same name. A map contribution in and of itself so I figured it'd sit well on a frequented thread like this one as another, more simplistic outlet than the original.
Disclaimer: Original map template was pulled from Bing Images and it's original creators were the video game development team Codemasters as a part of the little known title released in 2008; Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. All credit for the original template goes to them. I heavily overhauled and modified the original map in order to fit my narrative.

Just thought I'd post something I've been working on based on a recent EU4 campaign before I go away for the weekend. I'm not sure where I'm going with this so any thoughts would be appreciated.
