Great! But just one question - since I'm new to this forum, what does WOTM mean? And, also, could you post a link (I suppose it's some kind of ATL).
Thanks a lot. |

I think that looks more like a flag for a "Governor General" (ICR the real title of the head of the channel islands) rather then an 'inclusive' UK, I doubt that would be flown in England esp. as it would obscure the George Cross. When making a flag you wouldn't really want to piss off the main part of your population.

The flag does seem to exclude St. George's cross quite a bit, and it doesn't seem to make much sense to add new elements to the British flag when both Crown dependencies only amount to around 150,000 people. The design of the flag itself isn't bad in any way, but it does seem rather unrealistic.

I tried to make the flags of the two imaginary Latin American republics featured in Joseph Conrad's Nostromo, as per the novel's description.
First, the flag of the Republic of Costaguana:

And then the flag of the secessionist Western Republic of Sulaco, where the action is set, and whose birth is the novel's main theme (Costaguana and Sulaco are thinly veiled portraits of Colombia and Panama, respectively, with the action set in the 1880's and a rich silver mine taking the place of the Canal):

Nice flag but why add a dependency and so prominently but still leave Wales unrepresented on the flag?

I really like that Iberian flag. How did the combined coat of arms turn out, because I think it could be quite interesting placed in the centre of that flag.

New Flag of Kazakstan??
Wow! That's a new flag of Kazakstan? In what universe? I do "national combination flags" on my photobucket album all the time; so I know that can't be Kazakstan. It's the Kazak colony of Cuba. (Or the Cuban colony of Kazakstan; either or) But what a wacky timeline THAT would be!!

I was trying out some fade effects and waving flag effects today: nothing to do really with flag design, more with flag design enhancement.

I don't think I've posted this before, so here. An alternate flag for the Commonwealth of Great Britain and Ireland.

It's quite good, but it would work better if the English cross was outlined in white stripes - not necessarily very thick stripes like the modern Union Jack though. |
