+FNAC was founded in 1962 in Tetuan, by Armindo Alves.
+Armindo Alves moved to Tetuan with his family in 1955 and worked as an HVAC for several years for several firms. With the hotter weather of North Africa temperature control / air conditioning was critical to the operation of many firms. In 1962 frustrated due to lack of reliable air conditioners he decided to start his own company.
+From 1962 to 1972 the company growth was limited more by supply and labor issues as demand continued to grow. In 1970 with investment from several marge investors the company opened a new 100,000 sq feet manufacturing plant capable of manufacturing commercial and manufacturing air conditioners.
+In 1972 Armindo Alves son Joao Jose Alexandre Alves joined the company and headed the new residential division located in the previous building where the company had started in 1962. For the next 10 years he built up FNAC residential into the largest manufacturer and FNAC residential air conditioners / humidifiers held 40% of the market.
+In 1982 Joao Alves assumed control of FNAC with the retirement of his dad due to health reason.
+Today FNAC has three manufacturing plants in the Federation, Brazil and Mysore. It is the commonwealth largest HVAC manufacturers.
