In June 1945, one year later than OTL, they started D-day and liberated the Normandy. German troops left the rest of France after the coup of the Wehrmacht generals against [[Adolf Hitler (Hitler's Mediterranean Strategy)|Hitler]]. France later became a founding member of TTL [[European Economic Community (Hitler's Mediterranean Strategy)|EEC]].
