This Austria was hit hard by the drop of the second nuke ITTL on the city of Graz in August 1945. After the capitulation of Germany, it was occupied by US and British troops. 1948, in the first free election after the war, the Austrians made Julius Raab (ÖVP) minister president. In 1949 Austria became a member state of the Federal Republic South Germany.
