A Revised History of the Future : Wars, Conflicts, and Terrorist Attacks

This is a list of notable wars, conflicts, and terrorist attacks that occur in A Revised History of the Future.

Second Congo War

Also known as the African World War, this was a major conflict fought in Central Africa, from 1998 until 2003, pitting Congo-Kinshasa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola, and Chad against Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi. It was the deadliest war of the post-World War era, and devastated Congo-Kinshasa so thoroughly it would take over 50 years to recover. The African Union was established in its aftermath.

September 11th attacks

A series of terrorist attacks conducted by al-Qaeda against the United States on September 11, 2001. Four passenger airplanes were hijacked by al-Qaeda operatives and crashed, destroying the World Trade Center in New York City; heavily damaging the Pentagon in Arlington, VA; and leaving 2,996 people dead. The attacks prompted the United States to engage a “War on Terror”, invading Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003, lasting 11 years.
