AH.com Enterprise : Spacecraft and Vehicles

This page provides an overview of all vehicles appearing in the AH.com Enterprise series.

1. Space Stations and Habitats

These can wary from giant spacebases and space habitats that are little world of their own to smaller, more regular space stations. Several space stations and habitats play relevant roles in the series.

a.) The Hub of the Multiverse

First appearance: LIFE, EVERYTHING, AND THE PUB IN THE HUB

See main article.

The Administration

One of the most enigmatic aspects of the ancient and revered Hub of the Multiverse. While much of The Hub's day-to-day administration is handled by a staff consisting of The Hub's human (or various near-human) inhabitants, rumours abound that the main brains of the whole operation are extremely sophisticated AIs residing deep within the station's oldest, most ancient confines.

Ouroborous, The Pub in The Hub of the Multiverse

First appearance: LIFE, EVERYTHING, AND THE PUB IN THE HUB

A legendary establishment, the Pub in The Hub is a comfortable and renowned meeting place for inhabitants and visitors of The Hub alike, including many a weary traveller from one of the countless timelines of the multiverse. In the era of the MES AH.com, IAN ran the place as its owner and bartender. Since then, he has moved up The Hub's governmental hierarchy, and is now the main human chief of The Hub's administration. A new bartender has taken on the mantel since Ian's promotion.

The Promenade (Observation Deck)

First appearance: PROLOGUE EPISODE

Along with the Pub at the Hub, this is one of the main recreation areas for inhabitants and visitors of The Hub. It offers nice vistas of surrounding space through heavily reinforced and radiation-shielded panoramatic windows (seemingly glass-like, but they're made from advanced materials). One of the best vistas offered by the Promenade is a view of the outlying Hubdock. This leads to the Promenade being a favourite place for onlookers who enjoy watching the construction of new multiverse exploration ships, as well as their launching for their maiden voyages.

Hubdock

First appearance: DRY DOCK

The Hub's spacedock and shipyard, used to build all matter of spacecraft, including shift-capable MES ships. Known MES ships that were laid down and constructed here are the MES Stranger and the new duo of twin MES ships. The famous MES AH.com and MES CF.net might also have docked here a few times during their past visits of The Hub (the ancient scrolls speaketh not of whether they docked directly to the station or entered the Hubdock…).

Companies of The Hub

Some of the manufacturers housed at The Hub include HubTech Inc. and Ouroboros Snacks. HubTech is a general machinery and engineering corporation, producing everything from multiverse starships and other spaceships (Hubdock Division) and various planetary vehicles and equipment (Land Systems Division) to computers and electronic devices (Electronics Division). Ourouboros Snacks is a food and beverage products manufacturer that supplies many of The Hub establishments, including the famous Ouroboros Pub itself, but also caters to the supplies carried aboard the multiverse exploration ships of the Twin Fleet.

b.) Space Station Singapore

c.) Other Stations and Habitats

Space reserved for notes.

2. Shift-capable Multiverse Starships

Large starhips capable of traversing not only interplanetary and interstellar space, but also the multiverse, travelling from one alternate timeline to the next. To an extent, they are also capable of travelling through the space-time continuum. All of the shift-capable ships are equipped with Shift Drives, a valuable and highly prized technology first invented by the Neanderthal Multiverse Empire and later captured by Human Unity and eventually passed down to The Hub.

a.) The New MES Fleet of The Hub (MES Twin Fleet)

Type: Third generation Multiverse Exploration Ship (MES).
Class Name: Caravel
Manufacturer: HubTech Inc. & Pinoy Empire Aerospace Solutions (PEAS)
Motherbase: The Hub. The new fleet is a crucial part of The Hub's MES Programme.
Environments: Vacuum, shiftholes.
Shift-capability: Yes.
Airlocks: Yes, many.
Specifications:Twin Fleet MES Specifications
Capacity: Tens of passengers and crew members, but each ship can work perfectly fine with one active AI and a crew of 19-20 or even less. It's generally agreed upon that the absolute smallest skeleton crew for the ship is around 4 or 5 people.
Armaments: Yes. Modular-fire main guns, secondary guns and point defense guns (turbolasers, hellbores, powerguns, thanix guns, phasers, grasers, etc.), spinal gun (most powerful weapon on the Twins, very energy-consuming and finicky, can level everything from a city block to Belgium in a single shot), warhead and mine launcher tubes (anti-ship, anti-fighter, anti-planet or anti-missile projectiles, etc.). See specifications documentation brochure for more details.
Class History: Many years after the finale of AH.com The Series and the events of AH.com The Next Generation, The Hub of the Multiverse found itself in dire straits concerning the fate of its Multiverse Exploration Ships. After the eventual scrapping of the MES Stranger, funding and support for the construction of new MES ships had reached a low point. Much to the dismay of The Hub's powers that be, it looked as though the era of MES-based exploring and policing of the universe had come to an end. In a sudden bout of luck, The Hub was blessed by a diplomatic visit from the ruling trio of the Great Pinoy Empire. To everyone's surprise, these offered the Administration of the Hub a deal it couldn't refuse: Financing the construction of at least two brand new MES vehicles, as well as financially and diplomatically backing the exploratory missions taken by the ships. While uncertain about the deal at first, The Hub's exploration programme has undergone a renaissance ever since the deal was signed and the construction of the two twin MES-s started…
Quotes about this Vehicle:
We'll be flying a bomb-shaped penile space zeppelin !

The Allohistory and Uchronia are directly based on it, but are roughly three times larger and much more completely equipped, furnished and armed. As a testbed, the Caravel was never intended to go on expeditions across the multiverse, but the Hub still keeps it operational, in case it would need a larger ship to aid in its defence against outside attackers.

- Whenever someone enters them and activates them, the on-board software scans the person's brain waves as part of a security check, to prevent misuse. The snowclone phrase used on the mech's verification display is “Cast in the name of plausibility… Ye not guilty of butterfly slaughter”. If a mech rejects the person, the second half of the sentence turns to “Ye guilty of butterfly slaughter”.

Teleporters and Teleportation Suite

Both Twin Fleet ships come equipped with teleportation devices, to ease and speed up transport to the the surface of planets or interiors of other vessels if the situation is safe enough. The main teleportation suite (a.k.a. Teleportation Room) is used for this purpose. Smaller individual teleporter booths spread around the ship interior are used for internal teleporting, especially in cases of emergency.

Maglev and Turbolift system

Both Twin Fleet ships have an built-in internal transportation system for ferrying crew members, passengers and cargo around their expansive interiors. The vertical portion of the system simply consists of turbolifts, while the horizontal portion is made up of enclosed, tram-like compartments that run on a small maglev rail. The passenger versions of the “trams” come equipped with some basic seating, the cargo versions are little more than empty interiors. Even if the internal teleporters are damaged or stop working for whatever reason, the maglevs and turbolifts are generally dependable enough to keep working even in emergency situations.

b.) Other Factions
