+First Consul [[offtopic:Marix]], by executive order, suspended the High Congress of State on March 23, 2011, because it wasn't getting anything done to forestall a potential military coup.  [[offtopic:mats]] took this opportunity to launch a military coup.  In April, the capitol was occupied by forces proclaiming [[offtopic:Beedok]] as king and/or dictator.  The capitol lay vacant throughout the summer; [[offtopic:The Wandering Poet]] attempted to reinstate the [[2nd High Congress of State|Congress]] in late August, but was unsuccessful in retaking control of Sandboxia.  In fact, newly-self-proclaimed [[new shared worlds empire|Emperor]] Marix at this time finally dissolved the High Congress of State.
