Session 1

Garrick introduces himself (1745-1763)

My true name is Garrick Porter. I was born in 1745, in the London borough of Wapping. I suppose this must make me young amongst the majority of you. In 1758 at the age of 13, there was a housefire which ended up killing my family, I managed to put myself out by throwing myself off of the docks and into the water. My survival was proclaimed a “miracle” by the Church of St. George, and the congregation prayed for my families souls. I knew that something very strange had gone on though, and by the looks of some of my congregation, many of them had also become suspcious of me. A tragedy like that can do things to your mind, and with no family left, I stowed away on a ship as soon as I could and got myself embroiled into a life of piracy.

When out at sea, the crew, displeased by the running of the ship we were on, mutineed. I hid in a barrel throghout - I was only 13 at the time, what do you expect. Upon discovering me the new 'captain' of the ship decided to keep me as a mascot, or just something to laugh at on the ship. I soon after began my duties as the ships cook, and found I have a flair for the culinary arts, I was for the first time in my life truly happy. I was also, however, strictly an outlaw so this happiness was not to last. In my 18th year of life, I was one of the most able-bodied crewmen on ship, and was respected by all, not just for my strength but also for my easygoing nature, and of course the food that I cooked.

On July 12th, my life once again changed, as the ship was captured and he crew arrested by the Royal Navy. 4 years isn't bad going for a pirate ship, I wouldn't think. I managed to take down four navel seamen before being captured -miraculously unharmed.

Captured I was however, and our vessel was taken to, of all places Wapping, my old home, and we were paraded on the executioners dock. Imagine the shock and suprise on the faces of those who recognised me from the town. “Their” little Garrick, a pirate and a murderer. I gave them a little wink before I was hanged. On 17th August 1763, Garrick Porter was hanged and executed as a pirate. On that day I died. Officially.

Session 2

Acquaintances among Eternals ?

Garrick: I met a woman who went by the name Jackdaw many years ago in London. We did not work together for long, but I always felt a strange kinship when we did.

Peter: Unresolved sexual tension, perhaps ? (cheeky grin) Sorry, I kid. (friendly smile) I dunno, maybe some Eternals can sense each other. I'm not sure, since I'm a newbie in the community and don't even know what it feels like when you sense someone of equal power. BTW, nice bio you have. Reminds me about finally posting my own in TL format.

Garrick: I know often when I meet an Eternal for the first time I feel that I know them from somewhere before, or at least should do. Maybe that is more of a personal emphatic talent than something general amongst the eternal population.

Well, I thought it would be best to outline where I had been and as who first before going into depth.

Also, I know this is a private forum but some of the stuff I have been involved in (and still am in some cases) would probably be best to keep even from other Eternals, such as how I was involved with the Blood Knight and the details of my own operations.

Suffice to say though I have worked with and supplied funding to the trust for many years now, I have my hands in many pockets, and I think the police would be very interested if they found out half of what I know of the running of many crime families.

Session 3

Garrick, meet The Trust

Garrick: What's all this about a Trust? I try to lie low and keep out of people's way, though I do have a tidy income coming in from many not so honest means.

Bosch: The Eternals' Trust: Established by Bosch and others in 1569 as a way for immortals to locate and support each other. Their primary activities are commercial, locating and helping young immortals, maintaining accounts and resources for immortals to use regardless of their cover identity in the world and generating covers as needed; and research, focusing on what causes immortality and on long-term projects. For example, with the rise of space travel, the Trust has established a base on Mars and maintains a runaway spacecraft if Earth becomes inhospitable. In the past, the Trust has also dispensed justice against immortals. The Blood Knight episode was the most prominent.
