Chancellor of the Sandbox Republic of AH.com
The leader of Congress and one of the highest ranked officials in the Sandbox Republic's government.
The Chancellor fills the dual roles that, in other systems, might be filled by a Vice President and a Prime Minister: he or she can still introduce legislation, but is unable to vote for or against any legislation unless the voting window closes and there is a tie. However, the Chancellor is still able to debate any bill while still in congress. In the event the President is unable to fill his or her duties, the Chancellor will become Acting President. Unlike either a Prime Minister or a Vice President, however, the Chancellor is not directly elected. Instead, the President nominates the candidate (if he or she is a member of Congress, then they will have to resign that seat) who is then approved through a Congressional vote.
