Draft and Final Orders
Date: As of 11/5/2011
-Presidential goodwill tour to Latin America, with focus on Nicaragua to see if we can help stabilize the government.
-Ask the UN to send observers to Syria, pressure the government to back down with economic sanctions.
(Note to BM: Please Process these separately as possible/appropriate, it's just styled like this for organizational purposes)
-Finance Act/Appropriations Act ( http://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showpost.php?p=6992739&postcount=3459 ) –Spin as much of the reform angle as possible rather than the increase angle, focusing on simplicity and how it ties in with previous reforms passed earlier. Also the fact that most increases are simply swapping out a fee they no longer have to pay elsewhere. –As an incentive, overall increase the Universal Tax Credit limit. –Try and avoid extra in-year appropriations, but for now ask for all participants in government to follow this rule “on the honor system”. –Try and pass normally but use reconciliation if need be.
-R&D Drive: Orbital Solar Power plants. See if the old international space gang have any thoughts on this. Mostly another investment conference/exploratory committee.
