Dave Gorman once got a Texas driving license tattooed on his arm while drunk in Columbus. The Confederates invaded it in Harry Turtledove. It's one of only two US states to have only one consonant in the name (the other being Iowa). Weapon M and Crimson and Gold once went there on a day trip.
