This was actually the AH.com identity of noted AH writer S.M. Stirling. He was only an occasional poster, chiefly in relation to his own works and sometimes Harry Turtledove's. He was noted for vociferously defending his own decisions and opinions of what is plausible, and for having long arguments about this with board member Faeelin.

After he was baited into making inflammatory remarks during an argument, Stirling was banned by Ian in 2007 for "advocating the genocide of Muslims".
