Hawaiian
It can refer to numerous things;
1. A native of Hawaii, as in, a person of Polynesian ancestry, and was probably there before the missionaries came in.
2. A native of Hawaii, as in, a descendant of earlier migrants from the settlers from China, Portugal, Japan, Philippines, or USA. Mostly this definition applies to those either of a second/third/fourth generation that have already settled roots with mixed heritages of other ethnicities that have settled in already.
3. A newly arrived citizen from other places, mostly ranging from Kentucky or else where.
Mostly definitions of no. 2/no. 3 apply with no. 1 being in a small number due to diseases/intermarriages between other people. For those from Hawaii that do migrate to the Mainland, many people seemingly collect everyone into the first sub-section as seen above.
