+Created along with the [[New Board]] back in December 2003, the Announcements Forum was part of the Administration subsection of the AlternateHistory.com discussion board, located right at the board's main page. As its name implies, it served as a forum for the administrator's news announcements about various technical updates to the board and its software.
+Due to a low amount of traffic over the years, [[Ian]] eventually decided to cancel it ten years later, in late 2013. All of the threads contained within the disbanded Announcements Forum were moved to the Forum Rules and Administration forum. To access a list of the threads in question, click the link in the "See Also" section of this page.
