====== Scarlet Storm ======

An alien invasion scenario by [[offtopic: rvbomally]] which sees Martians, based on those featured in the War of the Worlds, invading Earth in 1862. This invasion puts the then-ongoing American Civil War on hold and united humanity under the Concord of Mankind, an ad-hoc military alliance of Earth's great powers. The Martian War ends with much of South America, Central Asia and all of Australia under Martian control, and begins a long-standing rivalry between the two planets. 

Technically a sequel to [[http://alternatehistory.org/discussion/showthread.php?t=263395|The War of Martian Aggression]], Scarlet Storm follows the story of humanity and the other sapient species of the Solar System.
