A lone survivor escapes from the ranks of the victims of OTL's Pleistocene extinction - //Hemiauchenia macrocephala//, a North American genus of llama. The consequences of the species' survival will shape the Americas in unexpected ways, leaving a vast, alien, and (ultimately) unconquerable world for Columbus to discover in 1492.
