======= New Shared Worlds Empire =======
The New Shared Worlds Empire was founded on August 26, 2011, when [[offtopic:Marix]], then [[First Consul]] of the [[Sandbox Republic]], declared himself Shared Worlds Emperor.

===== Regency =====

On September 1, 2011, in response to [[offtopic:Marix]]'s absence from AH.COM, [[offtopic:HellHound01]] proposed the elevation of a Regent to exercise the Emperor's power until his return.  [[offtopic:Odysseus]] was within the hour confirmed in the position.

===== Filettino War =====

On September 4, 2011, the town of Filettino attempted to secede from the Empire.  Within 24 hours, it was completely obliterated.  [[offtopic:Turquoise Blue]] attempted to take advantage of the war to regain favor with the government, but failed.

===== Restoration of the Republic =====

On September 15, 2011, following more than a week of inactivity by the imperium, Imperial Minister of Intelligence & Espionage [[offtopic:mrsandman]] declared the restoration of the republic, promising amnesty to all former Sandboxian leaders.  However, Shared Worlds remained lawless until the establishment of the [[Kingdom of the Shared Worlds]] three months later.
