[[USA|US]] state. Known for Ethan Allen. In [[alternate history:ATL]]s often ends up still part of New York, but is always part of any independent New England. Often cited as being synonymous with left-wing political views in America, even more so than [[California]]. 

The name is of French origin and while intended to mean "Green Mountain" (//Vert Mont// or //Vertmont//) and used in such a way, it actually means "Worm Mountain" (//Vermont//), owing to a slight translation error.
