====== Sault Ste. Marie ======

A city in [[offtopic:Michigan]], [[offtopic:USA]] (and a sister city across the water in [[offtopic:Canada]] ) which no-one has ever heard of, but as far as AH.com is concerned, the universe revolves around it. It is home to [[offtopic:Hermanubis]], and has featured in several [[offtopic:AH.com Series]] episodes written by [[offtopic:Dave Howery]]. [[offtopic:viperhawkz]] is from the Canadian side.

As the name suggests, the city was named by the French. British/American settlers pronounced the first part as 'Soo Saint'. In one of [[offtopic:Thande]]'s timelines the province actually gets called Susan-Mary (see: [[timelines:Republic of Superia]]). 



Relevant Historical Information 

Sault Ste. Marie was founded in 1668 by French Explorers/Missionaries, is the oldest city in Michigan; indeed the oldest white settlement West of the [Appalachians and East of the Rockies. 
Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and Sault Ste. Marie, [[Ontario]] were once one city, until the British handed Michigan over to the fledgling [[offtopic:United States of America]].
