====== Northumberland ======

A county of [[England]]. The old Kingdom of Nordhymbralond consisted of everything north of the river Humber (hence the name) but the modern county consists only of "English Northumberland", the northern remnant that managed to free itself from Viking rule in the late 800s. Culturally grouped together with [[County Durham]] as the North-East (or Northumbria),  a region known for its incomprehensible accents, hard men with resistance to cold, and enmity with the Scots.

Home to the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
