====== Island of Hawaii ======


The Island of Hawaii is referred to as the "Big Island" because of its immense size.  There are two major towns (Hilo/Kona) and volcanoes (Mauna Loa/Mauna Kea) located here.  There would be highways but they pretty much do the circle route, with the exception of the area where Mauna Kea is.  A good portion of the coastline is covered with dried lava fields with some attempts to carve out suburbs, with a road going towards the nearest highway.  It is possible to get bored while driving on The Big Island.  If one does visit the Big Island, Kona is hotter than Hilo, with the term "Kona Winds" stemming from this climate.
